Referrals
When assessing potential referrals our main aim is ensuring that we can meet the needs of the young person whilst continuing to provide a safe and secure environment for our current placements.

PLANNED PLACEMENT REFERRALS
We carefully assess every referral to ensure we can meet each young person’s needs while keeping our homes safe and stable for all. Our goal is to provide security, support, and opportunities for growth and independence.

EMERGENCY ADMISSION PROCESS
Emergency Placements
While planned placements are always preferred, emergency admissions may be accepted when it is assessed that the home can provide immediate safety and support.
In such circumstances, the placement will initially be time-limited (normally up to seven days) to allow for a full assessment of the young person’s needs and the home’s capacity to meet them.
During this period, the following areas will be carefully reviewed:
– The young person’s immediate needs, risks, and presenting behaviours
– The young person’s wishes and feelings about remaining in placement
– The impact and compatibility with other residents within the home
– The suitability of the placement and the home’s ability to deliver a tailored care plan
Following this review, a decision will be made whether to confirm the placement as ongoing or to identify a more appropriate longer-term setting.
