“Very satisfied with the standard of care.”

I have a young person in placement with Opus Care.  They have been in placement since December 2024 although I have only been involved since February 2025.

I have visited regularly and have liaised with staff between visits.  It is my view that Opus Care have provided an excellent standard of care for my young person.  She has been settled and is thriving in their care after a very long history of troubled and disrupted placements therefore, the period of stability Opus Care have provided has been vital for this young person.

I have found the staff of Opus Care to be open and accessible.  I am kept up to date with any developments in respect of my young person and I have observed the quality of the relationships my young person has with members of staff, which is a huge positive for her as it has helped her to develop appropriate relationships with the staff and accept their support and guidance.

Opus Care Staff have liaised with the young person’s parents, and they have been able to engage them effectively and are working together with them to promote the young person’s best interests, which is something that has not been achieved with any other placement or the Local Authority in the past.  I have had very positive feedback from the young person’s parents about the care she receives from staff at her placement, and I concur with their positive view of the staff’s care and their commitment to working together for the best interests of my young person.

Opus Care Staff can talk to my young person and encourage her to do what she needs to do they are willing and able to challenge her views to promote the best possible outcomes for her and they have provided my young person with clear and consistent boundaries and expectations in a calm and productive manner that has benefitted her.  Overall, I am very satisfied with the standard of care offered to my young person by Opus Care and believe that she has benefitted significantly since being in her current placement.
